Terms and conditions
Last updated: October 25, 2026 · Version for Costa Rica
These terms govern the use of Repitoo, the platform where a business creates its stamp program and its customers carry the card in Apple Wallet, Google Wallet or on the web. They apply to businesses that use Repitoo in Costa Rica.
1. Who we are and how these terms are accepted
Repitoo ("Repitoo", "we") is the trade name under which Raul Armando Gonzalez Urbina, an individual with Costa Rican identity card 801540401, provides the service from Costa Rica. In these terms, "the Business" is the individual or company that creates an account, subscribes or uses the Repitoo panel, and "Customers" are the people who carry one of the Business's loyalty cards. Whoever creates an account or pays for a subscription on behalf of a business states that they have the authority to bind it. By creating the account, starting the free trial or paying, the Business accepts these terms and the Privacy policy. If it does not agree, it must not use the service.
2. What the service is
Repitoo is software as a service (SaaS) for businesses. Depending on the plan and the country, it includes:
- Stamp programs and rewards, coupons, birthday gifts and referrals.
- Digital cards for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, and a web view of the card.
- The panel for the owner and their team: scanning, customers, insights, campaigns, automations and settings.
- An API to connect point-of-sale systems, online stores or other systems.
- Artificial intelligence assistants that suggest texts and designs.
Features may change over time. If we remove a major feature from a paid plan, we will give reasonable notice. Some features depend on the Customer's phone, its operating system or third-party services such as Apple and Google.
3. Account, team and security
The Business signs in with its email (a one-time link) or with Google, and can invite its team with different roles. The Business:
- Keeps its contact details up to date and protects access to its email.
- Is responsible for what the people on its team do in the panel and for the API keys it creates.
- Tells us without delay if it suspects unauthorized access.
Our support team may enter the Business's panel only to help it or to look into a problem; every entry is logged.
4. Free trial, plans and prices
Every new business can try Repitoo for free for the number of days shown on the pricing page, with no card. When the trial ends, the panel becomes read-only until the Business chooses a plan. The current plans, prices and limits are the ones published on repitoo.com and in the Subscription section of the panel. Prices are in US dollars and do not include applicable taxes, such as value added tax, which are added to the charge when the law requires it. If we change the price of a plan, we will give at least 30 days' notice and the change will apply from the next renewal. Discounts or special access we agree to in writing apply for the stated period, after which the regular price applies.
5. Automatic renewal and charges
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) until the Business cancels them. By subscribing, the Business authorizes recurring charges to the payment method it registered. Card payments are processed by a payment provider (for example, Stripe); Repitoo does not see or store the full card number. We may also accept bank transfer or other methods when agreed in writing. If a charge fails, we will notify the owner by email and try again. While the payment remains pending, the panel may become read-only.
6. Cancellation and refunds
The Business can cancel at any time from Subscription. Canceling stops renewals and the plan stays active until the end of the period already paid. Payments already made are not refunded, including partially used periods, except as provided in section 9 or where applicable law requires it. We recommend using the free trial to confirm Repitoo fits before paying.
7. Customers' cards keep working
If the Business stops paying or cancels, its Customers do not lose what they already have: cards, the public page and passes keep their stamps and rewards. What stops is the panel (adding stamps, sending campaigns, automations), which becomes read-only.
8. Plan limits
Each plan covers up to the number of active customers shown on the pricing page (customers with at least one stamp in the last 30 days). If the Business goes over, we will let it know and it will have 30 days to move to the Business Plan or get back under the limit; after that, the panel may become read-only until it is resolved. To protect Customers, messages to the same card are capped (currently 1 per day and 3 per week) and are only sent during the business's opening hours.
9. Service availability
We work to keep Repitoo available at all times, but we do not guarantee that it will run without interruptions or errors. We will announce scheduled maintenance in advance when it may affect the Business. If the service is completely down for more than 24 consecutive hours for a reason within our control, the Business may request a credit proportional to the days without service, applied to its next charge. It must request it by email within 10 business days. Failures of third parties (Apple, Google, internet or payment providers), force majeure, and problems caused by the Business or its equipment do not give rise to the credit.
10. Third-party services
Repitoo runs on services from other companies, such as Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, Sign in with Google, the payment provider, cloud hosting, email delivery and the artificial intelligence provider. Each has its own terms. If one of them changes its rules, fails or stops offering a feature, we will do what is reasonable to adapt, but that is not a breach on our part.
11. Acceptable use
The Business agrees to use Repitoo lawfully and honestly. In particular, it must not:
- Load customers without a legitimate basis to do so, or data it does not need for its program.
- Send messages that are misleading, offensive, unlawful or that Customers would not expect from the program.
- Offer rewards or coupons it does not intend to give.
- Use Repitoo for unlawful activities, unauthorized gambling or prohibited products.
- Try to access other businesses' data, overload the service, copy it or resell access without authorization.
- Test the security of the service without our written permission.
12. The loyalty program belongs to the Business
The Business sets the rules of its program: how many stamps it asks for, what reward it gives, its coupons and their conditions, including whether its Customers may pass stamps to another person and within what limits. The Business is the one who gives the rewards and answers to its Customers for them and for any advertising of the program, including consumer protection rules. Repitoo is the tool and is not part of that relationship.
13. Personal data
Customers' data belongs to the Business. For that data, the Business is the database controller and Repitoo acts as a processor: we handle it only to provide the service and following the Business's instructions, under Costa Rica's Law on the Protection of Individuals Regarding the Processing of their Personal Data (Law No. 8968) and its regulations. The Business guarantees that it informs its Customers and obtains their consent when the law requires it, and that it handles their requests for access, correction or deletion; we will help with whatever is within our reach. How we handle data is explained in the Privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
14. Artificial intelligence assistants
The AI assistants suggest names, rewards, colors, message texts and how to read the columns of an imported file. They are suggestions: the Business must review them before using them and is responsible for what it publishes. When reading a file, the AI receives the headers and the shape of the values, never the Customers' data. AI use has monthly caps and may not always be available; every feature can also be done without AI.
15. Data export and retention
While the account is active, the Business can see its information in the panel and ask us for a copy of its customers and cards in a common format. If the account is closed, we will keep the data for up to 90 days so the Business can ask for that copy or come back; after that we will delete or anonymize it, except what the law requires us to keep (for example, accounting records of charges) or what we need to handle a claim.
16. Intellectual property
Repitoo, its software, design, brand and documentation belong to Repitoo or its licensors. During the subscription, the Business receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service in its business. The Business keeps ownership of its brand, logos, images and texts, and authorizes us to use them only to display them on its cards, passes, pages and messages. The Business guarantees that it has the right to use what it uploads. If the Business sends us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve Repitoo with no obligation.
17. Payment disputes and chargebacks
If the Business believes a charge is wrong, we ask it to write to us before disputing it with its bank; we will resolve most cases faster. If it opens a chargeback, we may make the panel read-only while it is resolved and share with the payment provider or the bank the information needed to show the service provided. A chargeback does not cancel the subscription by itself.
18. Confidentiality
Each party keeps confidential the other's non-public information it learns through the service (business, technical or pricing information) and uses it only for this relationship. This does not apply to information that was already public or that a competent authority requires to be disclosed.
19. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Repitoo is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or loss of customers, sales or data caused by the use of, or inability to use, the service. Repitoo's total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount the Business paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability arising from fraud or gross negligence.
20. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account, after giving notice when possible, if the Business seriously breaches these terms, does not pay, puts the security of the service or other users at risk, or if an authority orders it. If the breach can be fixed, we will give a reasonable period to do so.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or the law. We will publish the new version with its date and, if the change is significant, we will notify the owner by email at least 15 days in advance. Continuing to use Repitoo after that date means accepting the new version; if the Business does not agree, it can cancel before then.
22. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Before going to court, the parties will try to settle any disagreement in good faith and, if they cannot within 30 days, they may use conciliation or mediation under the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Promotion of Social Peace Law (Law No. 7727). If there is no agreement, the dispute will be resolved by the courts of San José, Costa Rica.
23. Entire agreement
These terms, the Privacy policy and any written agreement with the Business (for example, the Business Plan agreement) form the entire agreement. If a written agreement says something different on a topic, it prevails on that topic. If any clause is found invalid, the rest remain in force.
24. Contact
For questions about these terms, cancellations or claims, the Business can write to us at hola@repitoo.com, which is also our address for legal notices.
